Add-on

Team Training — staff development for the people already on your team.

Pair ChiefDesk with a role-based training track for the staff you already hired. The flagship is the six-week Manager Development Program for first-time and new managers — the other three tracks (Program Manager, Case Manager, Housing Navigator) are in curriculum development and ship later.

Four tracks

One for every role on your leadership chart.

Each track is structured as a cohort program — not a video library.

Available now
Manager Development Program
Six weeks that turn a technically strong employee into a manager worth keeping.

The flagship track. Built for the people you just promoted because they were the best on the team — and then watched struggle with the parts of leadership nobody taught them.

Coming soon
Program Manager
For the people who run your programs end-to-end.

Curriculum in development — designed for the staff member who owns one or more programs from design through reporting and has to translate between the executive director, the board, and the front line.

For:Program managers responsible for outcomes, contracts, and reports across one or more service lines.

Coming soon
Case Manager
For the staff whose caseload is also their calendar.

Curriculum in development — built around case planning, documentation discipline, and the boundary work that keeps caseworkers effective for years instead of months.

For:Case managers and caseworkers carrying a live caseload across housing, benefits, mental health, or justice-involved clients.

Coming soon
Housing Navigator
For the staff moving clients from homelessness to housed.

Curriculum in development — focused on the system-navigation work, documentation standards, and landlord engagement that move a client from shelter to a lease in their name.

For:Housing navigators and housing-focused case managers working across shelter, rapid re-housing, and permanent supportive housing programs.

Manager Development Program

Six weeks. Built for the people you just promoted.

The Manager track is the only track with full curriculum right now. It is designed for the supervisor who was promoted because they were the strongest operator on the team — and then quietly struggled with everything that leadership actually asks of them.

Each week, every cohort runs the same structure

  • Self-paced pre-work
  • On-the-job exercise
  • Group check-in
  • Weekly action item

Works with a facilitator or peer-led inside a leadership team. Ideal group size: 4–8 managers.

  1. Week 01

    Manager Mindset

Shift from "do the work" to "make sure the work gets done well" — names the transition so it stops being invisible.

  2. Week 02

    Communication That Builds Trust

Run one-on-ones, staff meetings, and hard conversations without your team having to guess what you meant.

  3. Week 03

    Delegation & Empowerment

Hand off ownership of recurring work without it landing back on your calendar every Monday.

  4. Week 04

    Coaching & Feedback for Growth

Replace the awkward annual performance conversation with weekly, behavior-specific feedback your staff can actually act on.

  5. Week 05

    Navigating Conflict & Difficult Conversations

Surface disagreement early, name it without flinching, and resolve it before it ends up in a board complaint.

  6. Week 06

    Leading with Vision

Translate the strategic plan into a team that knows what this quarter is for and what they own inside it.

Cross-cutting theme

AI Literacy — using tools like Claude as part of your manager toolkit

AI literacy runs throughout the six weeks as a parallel pillar. Managers learn to use assistants like Claude for the parts of the job that used to consume evenings — drafting a one-on-one agenda, summarizing a long board packet, turning a verbal ask into a written brief, untangling a thorny policy question — without becoming dependent on the tool. The judgment, the relationships, and the accountability stay firmly with the manager; the assistant is a faster first draft, not a substitute for being one.
